Meet our Muralist

Chalize Murphy "Murphy"

Hi, my name is Murphy. I’m a 20-year-old creative and designer based in Canyon and the Texas Panhandle. I graduated from Canyon High School after starting at Caprock High School, where I connected with Blank Spaces Murals , an experience that changed my life. I’ve been painting murals since  I was a freshman, and over the past six years, have contributed to more than 100 murals across the Panhandle, primarily in the Amarillo area. Art began as a personal outlet and coping mechanism, but it quickly grew into something bigger. I see it as a powerful way to transform spaces, share messages, and bring people together. Public art is especially meaningful to me because it’s accessible to everyone , regardless of age, culture, or background , simply by walking down the street. To me, murals are more than paint on a wall. They create connections, turn places into landmarks, and leave lasting memories within a community. I’m honored to continue creatingwork that lives in and grows with the Panhandle.

Featured Artist

Jacob Aaron Morin

When he’s not scanning the sky for eagles, transforming homes in Canyon’s Hunsley Hills and Country Club neighborhoods, or battling the worst dust bunnies Amarillo’s flip houses have to offer, Jacob Morin is almost certainly thinking about two things: art and his daughter.Art isn’t just a hobby for Jacob...it has sustained him. More than once, he has lived solely off his creativity, driven by passion, skill, and an eye for the extraordinary in everyday life. Whether he’s restoring a business’s distressed old sign or sketching in the front seat of his truck, Jacob is always creating something. If you meet him at an event, he might offer to draw your portrait on the spot or gift you an angel, a stallion, or even a Statue of Liberty print pulled from his ever‑present mobile studio. Jacob is equally ready to paint a canvas for your living room or repaint the living room itself. His art bridges the gap between imagination and reality, and he welcomes every challenge with a “let’s make it happen” spirit. Bring him your wildest idea. A mural? A portrait? A full‑home repaint? A custom piece pulled from the corners of your imagination? Jacob Morin is ready to help you bring your vision to life.
