‍Investing in the Heart of Canyon The Canyon Main Street Beautification Grant is a matching grant of up to $2,500, available to small business and property owners within the Canyon Main Street District. This program is designed to enhance the visual appeal and historic charm of our downtown area—making it more vibrant, welcoming, and economically resilient.

Eligible exterior improvements include:
‍
- Painting and façade restoration
- Awning repairs and replacements
- Signage and store front enhancements
- Structural cleaning
- Landscaping and site work
- Other exterior upgrades that improve curb appeal

Who Can Apply?

Business owners and property owners within the Canyon Main Street District
‍Property owner’s signature is required for application approval

Projects must be pre-approved—work already started or completed is not eligible

‍Deadline: Submit your application at least 10 days before the Main Street Advisory Board meeting (held on the 4th Tuesday of every month)
‍
Projects must be completed within one year of approval (extensions may be granted)

How to Apply?

1. Complete the online application or download the form
2. Include all required documentation (photos, bids, material samples, etc.
3. Submit via email to amiller@canyontx.gov, in person at 1605 4th Ave, or use the after-hours mail slot
4. Await review and approval by the Main Street Advisory Board

All work must comply with City of Canyon building codes and design guidelines

The property must be located within the National Register Downtown Historic Overlay District (see map below)
Final reimbursement is issued after project completion and board review
